The average sale price for single-family residences at the end January in the Richmond metro areas of Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, and Richmond City counties was $343,221, an increase from the previous January of 8.9% from $315,124.
There were 972 single family homes sold during January, outpacing the number of closed sales at this time one year ago by 22.7%, from 792.
A total of 1,195 single-family homes went under contract during January 2021, an increase of 10.1% from the 1.085 that went pending during January 2020.

At the end of January, the average sale price for condos in the Richmond metro area was $267,355, a year-to-year decrease of 3.4% from $276,094.
There were 171 condos sold in C Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, and Richmond City counties during the month of January, this is a 14.8% increase from the 149 closed during the previous January.
A total of 280 new condo listings hit the market in Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, and Richmond City areas. This represents an 11.1% year-to-year increase from 252 new listings during January 2020.
