The average sale price for single-family homes in the Richmond metro area at the end of July 2021 was $396,776, a year-to-year increase of 16.1%

There were 1,617 single-family properties sold during July, an increase of 7.6% from the previous July.

A total of 1,528 single-family homes went under contract in the Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, and Richmond City counties during July, a year-to-year drop of 1.9%.

At the end of last month, a total of 1,637 new property listings hit the market in the Richmond metro area, a drop of 5.4% compared to the previous July. 

Single-family homes in the Richmond metro were on the market for an average of 10 days before being sold, and sellers were getting 104.5% of their asking price at closing

🏠 Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, & Richmond City Condo Stats Quick Stats

The average sale price for condos in Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, and Richmond City counties at the end of July was $291,542, an increase of 3.7% from one year ago.

A total of 304 condos were sold last month in the Richmond metro area, which is a year-to-year increase of 12.6%.

During July 290 condos went under contract, a drop of 6.1% compared to the previous July.

There were 326 new condo listings that hit the market in July, a year-to-year increase of 2.2%, There are approximately 1.1 months of inventory available to buyers in the Richmond metro area.
